anyExcuse·Designed a digital wallet for gifting drinks and experiences at bars and restaurants. Users bought gift cards in the app, then sent them to friends to redeem at participating venues. Over three years, anyExcuse grew from a simple gifting product into a hospitality platform for consumers, venues, and brand campaigns across Ireland and the US.

95% of users came in through redemption. A friend had bought them a voucher, and the app stood between them and a pint at the bar. So I rebuilt the navigation with the wallet as the home, demoting browsing and buying to secondary roles.

The platform was multi-sided: consumers buying and redeeming, and venues fulfilling on the back end. Brands like Heineken plugged in on top to run free-pint promotions. I built a design system to keep all those touchpoints recognisably the same product as it grew.

anyExcuse was eventually wound down as a consumer brand. The table service and delivery tech built underneath it was folded into the parent's B2B product.
